I have hit this problem this week also. Omnipage 18 has been working fine on Windows 10 but I now get 25 or 26 script errors, rrelating to the urls shown below.

If I respond 'No' each time to the 'Do You Want to Continue to Run Scripts...' question, I get 25 of them:-

The program then appears to work as normal, which is I suppose something.

Note that most of the urls are on the Kofax web site, Kofax having acquired Omnipage from Nuance. I have switched off the 'Check for update' option and it makes no difference, The suggested edit of the hosts file has no effect - possibly because something other than www.ocr.com needs to be blocked?

I contacted support and got a 'response' from Nuance (not Kofax). In essence, the reply was 'it;s not supported on Windows 10, here's a link to a site where you can pay £170 for Omnipage 19'. Absolutely no interest in addressing the issue, which surely they or Kovax have themselves created. If I were a conspiracy theorist I might think that they have put it in deliberately to get you to buy the new version. Except it will have the opposite effect on me - treating long established customers like that drives them away.

If I can't get rid of the errors, I appear to have the options of living with the annoyance, buying Omnipage 19 (fat chance) or switching to a different OCR product.
